What's On In Aberdeen

Aberdeen's War

From 22 Mar 2014 To 07 Mar 2015

Aberdeen Art Gallery and Museums will mark the anniversary of the commencement of the First World War with a major exhibition featuring material from the City’s collections and private lenders.

Using objects, paintings and documents it will tell the story of war-time at home in the North East and on the front line with the troops, many of whom were never to return. The exhibition will include creative responses to the wartime experiences of local artist James McBey, produced by participants in a project supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund.

Aberdeen Art Gallery is open Tuesday-Saturday 10am-5pm, Sunday 1-4pm. Closed Monday.
