What's On In Aberdeen

Take One Action Film Festival

From 17 Nov 2017 To 19 Nov 2017

The Take One Action Film Festival returns to Aberdeen from the 17-19th November to celebrate the people and the films that are changing the world!

We are honoured to invite you to join us for the third Aberdeen edition of the UK’s leading global change film festival.

Our specially curated programme of documentaries brings you the best international cinema on the most urgent issues of our time.

Whether celebrating a Kenyan farmer’s extraordinary determination as he battles the causes and impacts of climate change, transformational efforts towards peace in Israel and Palestine or in Colombia, or the hope embodied in the remarkable work of health advocates committed to access to medication and healthcare for all, these films will immerse you in stories of solidarity, hope and resilience.

Ten years since our first festival in Edinburgh, we still hold fast onto the belief that a kinder, fairer and more sustainable world is possible. By connecting you with voices and experiences that too often remain unheard, our screenings, conversations and events invite you to create this world right here, right now.

This year, more than ever, seeing is belonging.
