Stuff Worth Knowing: Avoiding Nemo

On 19 Oct 2017

Dr Tara Marshall will explore how information and communication technology can be used to improve tactical decision making at sea.

Fishing requires selectively avoiding the capture of species or sizes of fish so as to meet the objectives of sustainable management.

In the North Sea this goal is made more difficult by the mixed composition of the fish community.

This talk by Dr Tara Marshall of the University of Aberdeen will explore how information and communication technology can be used to improve tactical decision making at sea.

STUFF WORTH KNOWING talks explore topics worth knowing about. Scheduled with convenience in mind, these talks are FREE and suitable for 16+ years in general.
