Banished! 'Transported beyond Seas' Women's History Cafe : Silver City Stories Festival

Join us (Aberdeen Women's Alliance) for a free and informal Friday afternoon to discover the stories of a group of five Aberdeen women who were sentenced to be 'transported beyond seas' to Van Diemen's Land (Tasmania) in April 1835.

You'll have the opportunity to look at some of the historical records and find out who these women were, their crimes, their three month long journey aboard their convict ship and what happened to them once they arrived in Van Diemen's Land.

Light lunch and refreshments available.
