Graphic novels with Metaphrog

On 23 Jan 2017

Join Aberdeen City Libraries for a creative session with award-winning graphic novelists Metaphrog, as they share tips and techniques on how to create your own graphic novels and characters.

Metaphrog are John Chalmers and Sandra Marrs, winners of The Sunday Herald Scottish Culture Awards 2016 for Best Visual Artist. They have received multiple Eisner Award nominations (the Oscars of comics), and Louis – Night Salad was Highly Commended for the Scottish Children's Book Awards 2011.

Their latest graphic novel, The Red Shoes and Other Tales, was released to critical acclaim in 2015 and their new graphic novel adaptation of The Little Mermaid will be published in May 2017 by Papercutz. They are Patrons of Reading at Northfield Academy and are supported by Creative Scotland.
