Assisted Recycling Collection
Household waste collections for many Aberdeen City residents are every second week. You can view or download your Household Waste Collection Calendar online.
Assisted collections may be made from the doorstep of properties where the resident is unable to put their domestic street bin, garden waste bin or recycling box and bag out on the edge of their property for collection.
Aberdeen City Council Waste Team offer the following assisted services for the kerbside collections.
Dry Recycling Kerbside Recycling
A kerbside collection of materials for recycling is offered to suitable households across the city.
The kerbside recycling collection service allows residents to recycle food and drink cans, glass bottles and jars, plastic bottles in the black box and paper and cardboard in the white bag.
If your household receives a kerbside collection we offer help with:
- An assisted collection
Garden Waste Kerbside Recycling
A fortnightly kerbside collection of garden waste is offered to suitable households across the city between March and November.
Residents are able to recycle flowers, plants, weeds, grass cuttings, hedge trimmings, leaves, small branches, bark and twigs using the brown wheeled bin. If your household receives a garden waste collection. We offer help with either:
- A smaller bin
- An assisted collection

With the change to fortnightly collections we can offer help with either:
- A smaller bin
- An assisted collection
