Building works, traffic signals and parking restrictions affecting roads

Please see below for details of building works that may affect your journey:

Temporary Traffic Signals

  • There will be temporary traffic signals in operation on RIVERVIEW DRIVE from Monday the 16th of January, 2012 for up to four weeks.  The signals are necessary to protect public safety during works on behalf of Scottish Water.
  • There will be temporary traffic signals in operation on SCOTSTOWN ROAD at Scotstown Road between 09:00 and 16:00 from Wednesday the 15th of February, 2012 for up to two weeks.  The signals are necessary to protect public safety during works to install a new pedestrian crossing.
  • There will be four-way temporary traffic signals in operation at the KIRK BRAE / FRIARSFIELD ROAD / KIRK TERRACE junction from Tuesday the 21st of February, 2012, for up to two weeks.  The signals are necessary to protect public safety during works by Scottish Water.
  • There will be temporary traffic signals in operation at the FOUNTAINHALL ROAD / DESSWOOD PLACE junction from Wednesday the 22nd of February, 2012, for up to three days.  The signals are necessary to protect public safety during works on behalf of British Telecom.

Parking Restrictions

  • There will be a temporary prohibition of waiting at any time on both sides of the full length of CONSTITUTION STREET from 20 January, 2012 until 16 March, 2012. The no waiting restriction will not be applied for the full length of the road at any one time and will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones.
  • There will be a temporary prohibition of parking on the north side of NELSON STREET from the east gable of number 52 Nelson Street to the east gable of number 44 Nelson Street from Wednesday the 16th of November, 2011 for up to six months. The restriction will only be enforced when required and parking will be available at all other times. The use of no waiting cones will indicate when the parking restrictions are in force.
  • There will be a temporary prohibition of waiting at any time on the east side of SUMMER STREET opposite number 47, from the extended north kerb line of the delivery access road at Union Plaza northwards for a distance of 11 metres, and opposite number 39, from the extended south kerb line of the delivery access road at Union Plaza southwards for a distance of 11 metres. The no waiting restrictions shall be enforced until the 19th of April, 2012 and are for public safety during construction works for a new housing development.
  • From 11 January 2012 for six months, there will be a prohibition of waiting at any time on the north side of SINCLAIR ROAD from its junction with Crombie Place eastwards for a distance of eighty-five metres. The restriction is necessary to protect public safety during adjacent development works.
  • There will be a temporary prohibition of waiting at any time on the north side of the carriageway at LITTLEJOHN STREET from Friday the 10th of February until Friday the 17th of February, 2012.  The restriction is necessary to protect public safety during heating duct works.
  • There will be a temporary prohibition of waiting at any time on both sides of the carriageway at ALBERT STREET between its junctions with Carden Place and Albert Terrace from 08:00 until 16:00 on Sunday the 12th of February, 2012.  The restriction is necessary to protect public safety during ironwork repair works on behalf of Scottish Water.
  • There will be a temporary prohibition of waiting at any time on the west side of RAIK ROAD in front of Colin Fraser Ltd, from 1 February, 2012 until 31 January, 2013.  The restriction is necessary to maintain access to the business at all times.

Building and other works affecting roads

  • Scotia Homes are working on a new housing development at CHAPEL STREET and SUMMER STREET.
  • Barratts are working adjacent to SEAFORTH ROAD on a new housing development.
  • Stewart Milne Homes are working at KINGSWOOD DRIVE on new housing development.
  • Dandara are working on a new housing development at LEGGART TERRACE.
