Household waste management method, 2015

As can be seen in the table, in Aberdeen City a high proportion of our waste goes to landfill.  However, there is also a high percentage (38.5%) that is recycled.

Eco schools with green flag award, 2016

The aim of Eco Schools programme is to make environmental awareness for both pupils and staff. The Eco School Green Flag Award is designed to encourage pupil led whole school action for the environment. In 2016, there were 93 schools registered with the Eco Schools programme in Aberdeen City with 24 of these holding the Green Flag award. Please note that these awards include nursery schools.
