"Aberdeen's Get Oot and Aboot": over 50's Festival
Aberdeen's "Get Oot and Aboot" 10th Anniversary over 50's Festival will take place from 7-16 September 2012.
The 10th Anniversary Festival programme will be available to download here from 10 August 2012.

Festival brochures will be in circulation as wraps via ‘Aberdeen Citizen’ Festival supplement due out in the Evening Express for 8 August. The brochures state where to obtain tickets with relevant telephone numbers. Hard copies will be available from 10 September (while stocks last) from the following Council offices and venues around the City:

8 September: outdoor event at Duthie Park
On 8 September there will be an "Intergenerational Day" at Duthie Park with special guests the Red Hot Chili Pipers.
10th anniversary concert: Jamie MacDougall and friends
To celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Aberdeen’s Get Oot and Aboot Over 50's Festival, tenor and BBC radio presenter JAMIE MACDOUGALL is delighted to host a gala evening of entertainment at the Music Hall on Wednesday 12 September 2012. Jamie will be joined on stage by mezzo-soprano Cheryl Forbes and Scottish folk legend Alastair McDonald, along with a 20-piece orchestra conducted by Music Director - Gordon Cree. The programme will feature a feast of music and song from the world of opera to the hits from the West End shows, as well as a selection of traditional Scots songs given a slightly modern twist. The evening will be interspersed with lots of fun and laughter. A gala evening not to be missed!
