Aberdeen City Council works in partnership with Scottish Disability Sport Aberdeen Branch. SDS Aberdeen organise coaching , events and competitions and have a number of fully affiliated clubs.

Aberdeen Boccia Club
Venue: Aberdeen Grammar School
Day: Thursday
Time: 18:00 - 20:00
Age: 8 - 80 years
Cost: £1 per session
This group wish to welcome experienced Boccia players or complete beginners to come along and receive coaching. Boccia is a game similar to the French game Petanque or Boules. A player sets the Jack and team's compete to be the closest to the target (Jack). The game is played from recreational to Paralympic level. each Player plays the game seated. The balls are leather bound and sand filled and can be played in a variety of ways. e.g throw, roll, kick or delivered down a ramp. The game is suitable for anyone with any disability and players with limited upper body mobility can use aids to assist with the delivery of the ball.
