How can we help you...

Telecare Demonstration Area - Horizons Rehabilitation Centre

Telecare Technicians Ian Tawse and Charles McBeath

Telecare is a range of equipment, which can be installed within the home to enable people to remain safe and secure. The equipment monitors aspects of the home environment and can make a call to a family member or a friend, or to a Control Centre to provide an emergency response 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

The equipment will help people to remain independent in their own home with the reassurance that help is at hand when you need it. Equipment can detect if there is a change in temperature, a gas leak, fire, flooding or even if you have a fall. Using a wide range of equipment the service can be tailored to meet people's needs providing peace of mind to individuals, families and carers.

A demonstration room featuring all the telecare equipment supplied through Bon Accord Care has been set up in Hillylands Independent Living Centre, Hillylands Road, Aberdeen. Examples of Community Alarm equipment and all the associated Telecare products, which connect to the systems such as epilepsy sensors, fall detectors, temperature extreme, gas and flood detectors, are on display as well as standalone devices.

There is a drop in session on the first Tuesday of each month from 10am until 12 noon – no requirement to book please just come along. Otherwise we are happy to arrange appointments to view the equipment at Hillylands or provide information to any group or individual as required.

If you would like to arrange a demonstration or visit please call Community Alarm and Telecare service on 01224 788616
