Social Work Duty Team

The Duty Team provides the first point of contact with Social Work for members of the public and professionals. The team offers information on services, assessment of service required and a short-term service - advice, practical support and counselling. Anyone wanting to discuss a problem with the Duty Team should phone them and if necessary an appointment will be made for an interview to discuss the problem more fully.

The team's phone line is open from:

  • Monday to Thursday - 8.30am to 5pm and
    Friday - 8.30am to 4pm

Alternatively:

  • Freephone: 0800 7315520 (Weekdays only)
    8.30am to 10am
    12 noon to 2pm
    4pm to 5pm

They provide a drop-in service from 10am to 12 noon (except Thursdays) and 2pm to 4pm (Monday to Friday).

Note: these times are subject to change at short notice.
