Financial Info and Support

Aberdeen City Council operates a Payment for Skills scheme, whereby foster carers receive a fee in addition to an allowance for each child they care for.  The scheme recognises the skills and experiences of foster carers and their fee reflects this.  It reflects the complexity of the fostering task and acknowledges the skills, experience and qualifications of carers.  It is based on a 3 level system and carers are supported to progress through the levels.
