How can we help you...

Community Cycling in Aberdeen

The story so far

Aberdeen City Council is currently engaged on Aberdeen's first community cycling project, working in partnership with pupils and staff from Greenbrae School and local residents to look at ways in which their neighbourhood can be made more safe and pleasant for cyclists. This resulted in the publication of the Greenbrae Cycle Project Plan in 2011.

Aberdeen City Council is now working to deliver the Action Plan with partners and with the ongoing support and advice of the local community.

How can I get involved . . .

The Action Plan will be built upon and refined during the life of the project, so please feel free to send us your views on how conditions for cyclists could be improved in your area and what would encourage you to cycle more. You can also send us your thoughts on the Action Plan, especially if you feel that any significant route has been missed. Although the focus of the project is on cycling trips, we would anticipate that any improvements to paths in the area will also benefit pedestrians, wheelchair users and those with buggies and prams.
