Vacant and Derelict Land Survey

Introduction

Vacant and Derelict Land Survey image  Aberdeen City Council (ACC) takes part in the Scottish Vacant and Derelict Land Survey. This was done by identifying and recording vacant and derelict land in the city and submitting the results to the Scottish Government's Statistics Branch.

Our submission takes the form of two data sets; one for existing and new sites, and one for sites or parts of sites that have been brought back into productive use.

The Scottish Government collects surveys of vacant and derelict land from local authorities across Scotland and then analyses and publishes the results in its annual Statistical Bulletin. The Scottish Vacant and Derelict Land Survey is the only national data source for vacant and derelict land. It is available to view or download from the Scottish Government publications internet page.

The ACC publications presents the results of ACC's surveys in an accessible, graphical format.
