Satellite Dishes - Permission to Install
Planning permission will generally be required to install a satellite dish, if:
- the property is listed;
- is within a conservation area;
- is a flat;
- or the dish would be facing the road.
Within conservation areas, planning permission is required to install a dish on any part of a dwelling house which faces onto a road. The installation of a dish on any other building (including flatted properties) within a conservation area, normally requires planning permission.
Outwith conservation areas planning permission may be required to install a dish depending on size, location and number of dishes proposed. Listed building consent will normally be required to install a dish on a listed building.
