Aberdeen City and Shire Design Review Panel

In order to raise awareness of design in the North East, a Design Review Panel has been set up. The panel is a joint venture between Aberdeen City Council and Aberdeenshire Councils. The Design Review offers constructive and objective advice at an early stage in the process which should lead to a better output and a stronger working relationship between all those involved. The advice given will draw on professional knowledge and experience within a local context, offering the opportunity for comprehensive evaluation of development proposals.

The panel consider a range of schemes (including masterplans and major applications) that are significant because of size, impact, public interest, location or set new standards for the future. 

The meetings are held monthly, usually on the first Monday of the month and are scheduled in at the start of the year.
