Aberdeen Local Development Plan - Main Issues Report

Introduction

Aberdeen City Council is, as part of the reform of the planning system in Scotland, undertaking a review of the current Aberdeen Local Plan. The Main Issues Report was the first formal stage in the process. A copy of the report can be downloaded below:

The Main Issues Report set out the authority's general proposals for development in the area, i.e., where development should and should not occur within Aberdeen City and discussion on how to address the main policy issues affecting Aberdeen City up until 2023. The Main Issues Report was the key document for early engagement on the Local Development Plan. The Main Issues Report was reported to Committee on 30 September 2009 and the public consultation ran from 16 October 2009 till 11 December 2009.
