All site visits have now been completed as has the majority of report writing. Two sites are currently the subject of further procedure. This will be completed by the end of November. More detail about when the final report will be available may be included in the November update.

Aberdeen LDP monthly update for August 2011

The examination of the unresolved representations to the local development plan is now well underway. Approximately three quarters of the site visits have been undertaken and the rest will be completed over the coming month. The reporters have started to write up their individual issues and will continue to assess the need for further written information requests.  Following the receipt of further written information with regard to Issue 90 - Infrastructure delivery and developer contributions, the reporter has decided that further discussion will not now be required at an oral session. Please note that the hearing session on 14 September 2011 has therefore been cancelled.

Following an initial appraisal of all of the issues no other oral sessions are currently planned.

The reporters have started their examination of unresolved representations to the local development plan. A preliminary assessment of all of the 136 issues has been undertaken and the responsibility for examining the issues has been split between the four reporters. The reporters have started to assess the need for further information requests some of which have been sent to the council. Site visits have started and will continue over the coming month. An evaluation of the need for oral sessions is also being undertaken. Subject to the receipt of further information requests one hearing session is currently planned for 14 September 2011 on Issue 90 - Infrastructure delivery and developer contributions. A final appraisal of the need for oral sessions will be included in next months update.

Reporters have confirmed that the Council has conformed with its participation statement. This means the examination of the Local Development Plan is now underway. A copy of the letter sent by Scottish Government can be viewed here:

Aberdeen City Council submitted the Aberdeen Local Development Plan Proposed Plan to Scottish Ministers for examination. The Scottish Ministers appointed Ms Katrina Rice BSc DipTP MRTPI and Mr David A Russell MA (Hons) MPhil MRTPI to carry out the examination of the Aberdeen Local Development Plan in accordance with Section 19 of the amended Town and Country Planning Scotland Act 1997. Additional Reporters may be appointed to support the delivery of the report.
