Organising Common Repair Work

Aberdeen City Council Housing and Environment Service also provides advice on general building repairs and maintenance, particularly for private owners who live in shared or tenement properties. This includes advice on how to organise common repair work, getting organised to make communal decisions, responsibilities under The Tenements (Scotland) Act 2004, how to check your Title Deeds, drawing up maintenance plans, factoring and other forms legal approaches, the benefits of engaging a professional agent, how to select and appoint builders and contractors.
