Street Litter Bins

It is an offence to drop litter in public places with a Fixed Penalty of £50. To assist with the disposal of unwanted sweet wrappers, take away containers and drink cans etc, litter bins have been placed in various sites throughout the City.

Dog fouling is also an offence with fines ranging from £40 for a Fixed Penalty to £500 if convicted; further information on this can be found at Dog Fouling.

As with Litter, Dog waste bins have been placed at various sites throughout the city to dispose of the doggy mishaps.

Both types of bins are emptied and cleaned on a routine basis by Mobile Cleansing Squads, however if you should find that a bin is too full or even damaged, we will be more than happy to receive your call.
