Drugs Worker (Incite - Psycho-Stimulants)

18.5 hours per week

Salary: 23,232 - 25,716 FTE per annum (11,616 - 12,858 pro rata)

Working across Aberdeenshire within the small Incite team, the post holder will act as a specialist resource to people in relation to how to effectively respond to Psycho-Stimulant drugs. The successful candidate will be qualified to degree level or equivalent in Community Learning, Youth Work, Social Work or related field and will have proven experience of working with young people in a community setting.

The post holder must be a car owner and driver.


Case Worker (Compass Service)

20 hours per week

Salary: 23,232 - 25,716 FTE per annum (12,558 - 13,900 pro rata)

Working across Aberdeenshire within the Compass service, the post holder will be responsible for providing 1-1 support to children and young people affected by parental drug and alcohol issues to help improve their safety, resilience, wellbeing and life chances. The successful candidate will be qualified in Social Work, Youth Work, Nursing or related field and must have direct experience of providing support to vulnerable children and demonstrate an in-depth understanding of child protection and child welfare.

The post holder must be a car owner and driver.


Early Intervention Worker - ARC (Aberdeen Recovery Community)

37 hours per week

Salary: 23,232 - 25,716

Based at the Timmermarket in Aberdeen, the post holder will be one of two Early Intervention workers working within a multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will assess and support new referrals to the Integrated Drug Service and increase the level of engagement by tackling barriers to treatment. Working closely with colleagues based in the community, the successful candidate will be qualified in social Work, Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Community Learning or other relevant discipline.


Sessional Staff based in Aberdeen City

Hourly Rate: 11.70

Sessional staff are being sought to work within our day per week Direct Access service. Successful candidates must have experience of working with drug and alcohol users, a non judgemental approach to working with people with dependency issues and be available to work flexibly when cover is required.

Drugs Action is committed to delivering services to a high quality and all post holders will receive a thorough induction, on-going training and supervision.

PVG membership is required for all posts.
