What can you offer to someone leaving a violent and abusive partner?

Anyone experiencing domestic abuse or threats of domestic abuse should contact the Homelessness Section in the first instance. This includes abuse from a same sex partner. The Council is committed to accommodating victims of domestic violence. We work with local refuges, Aberdeen Domestic Abuse Project, Victim Support, Social Work Duty Team (Exchequer House) and Grampian Police in order to minimise the effect of domestic abuse on families and individuals. Throughout we maintain the strictest confidentiality in dealing with those abused and proactively work towards sustainable and safe resettlement.
