Prevention and detection of fraud

Aberdeen City Council is required by law to protect the public funds and property it administers, and to this end will use the information you have provided on this form for the prevention and detection of the fraudulent acquisition of Council tenancies. The information you provide may be shared with other bodies responsible for auditing or administering public funds and property.

We may use, check and give to other Council services or external organisations information collected about you on the Housing Self-Assessment forms if it would help us deliver Council services more efficiently or effectively.

We will not, however, release information about you to anyone outside our own organisation unless the law allows it, and we will always use your personal information in line with the Data Protection Act 1998.
