Violence Against Women
In support of the Aberdeen Community Safety Partnership Strategic Assessment the Aberdeen Domestic Abuse Partnership monitors gender based abuse and the Sex Industry Forum monitors commercial sexual exploitation.
These groups develop good partnership practices in support of victims and to improve public safety by using statistical and risk map information to specifically target risk reduction campaigns at the areas where there are Community Safety issues by:
- 1. Having effective communication and information sharing between the Group and Key Partners
- 2. Having joint partnership working with Key Partners and to ensure that the delivery of any initiatives is done in the most efficient and effective manner
- 3. Raise awareness with the public and professional practitioners alike, through appropriate training to the risks from domestic violence and sexual exploitation.
- 4. Funding initiatives which are in accord with the priorities identified within the Community Safety Partnership Strategic assessment
- 5. Regularly monitor and review the effectiveness of any initiatives delivered across the Aberdeen City
