Fostering Fortnight seeks more people to join the ranks of Granite City's unsung heroes

Aberdeen City Council is celebrating the work of an unsung army of heroes and urging more people to consider becoming foster carers in the city.
Details of the Aberdeen in Bloom 2012 Garden Competition, including an online entry form are now available.
The Olympic Flame will be visiting Aberdeen City as part of the Olympic Torch Relay. It will be carried by people from our region as it travels through our local communities. Find out more information, including the route and who will be involved.

The new Lord Provost of Aberdeen was installed by the City Council today [Weds 16 May].
The resurfacing work on Greenbank Road has now been completed and the road is open. The right-turn ban on exiting Greenwell Road and the southbound lane closure on Wellington Road have been removed.
