Equalities Action Network
The Equalities Action Network (EAN) is a Community Planning Challenge Forum, which ensures there are effective links to the communities of interest groups and to other equality organisations within the City. Recent members include Grampian Police, Grampian Fire and Rescue, Grampian Housing, the Forestry Commission and the Civic Forum. The network reports to The Aberdeen City Alliance, which is the Alliance of Aberdeen's Community Planning Partners and is tasked with promoting equality throughout community planning in the city. In particular, the Equality Action Network focuses on the Single Outcome Agreement, Outcome 7 - "we have tackled the significant inequalities is in Scottish society."
The Equalities Action Network has responsibility for mainstreaming the different equality themes:
- Age
- Disability
- Gender
- Race
- Sexual Orientation
- Religion/belief
The Aberdeen City Alliance hosted a one day Equalities and Regeneration Conference on Tuesday 13 November 2007 at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre. To view the event feedback, please follow the link below:
