Library Membership
Adult membership is from age 16. Children's membership is up to the age of 12. Teenage membership is available for those aged between 12 and 15. A guarantor signature is required for children and young people up to age 16.
If you wish to become a member, formal identification (eg recent bank statement, utility bill, or similar ID) showing proof of address is required. Your library membership is valid at the Central and all local Libraries within the City.
You are responsible for your library card and all items on it. Cards are not transferable and charges will be incurred for late return, loss or damage to library material.
Lending stock can be returned to any of the City's Libraries.
Access to PC facilities is included and a booking system is in operation at the Central Library and all local libraries. There is also a Free Wifi Service available in the Central Library, Airyhall Library, Cove Library, Dyce Library, Kincorth customer Access Point, Mastrick Library, Tillydrone Library and Learning Centre and Torry Library.
The Library Service is provided free of charge except:
- Multimedia Services (ie CDs, DVDs)
- Reservations
- Fax Transmission
- Inter-Library Loans
- Business reports
- Printouts & photocopying
