Major cities and regeneration experts from around the UK, Europe and North America have helped influence the decisions being taken now on the long-term future of Aberdeen city centre.
A series of special 'City Talk' events staged by our City Centre Masterplan team has seen experts from Manchester, Gothenburg and Calgary deliver presentations on the way their cities have changed for the better through transformational projects including neighbourhood revitalisation and infrastructure improvements.
"The City Talk events were an important part of the process," said Aberdeen City Council deputy leader, Councillor Marie Boulton, who chairs the cross-party City Centre Regeneration Working Group.
Gothenburg City Talk
As part of the masterplan process we are looking at how we can learn from similar cities in a series of City Talks. Björn Siesjö, City Architect, was the first of three guests to discuss how we can mirror Gothenburg's success in adapting for the future.
