How long do I have to make a complaint?

You can make a complaint up to 6 months after the event happened, or 6 months after finding out that you have reason to complain – but no more than 12 months after the event itself.

In exceptional circumstances, we may accept a complaint after the time limit.

If you have a complaint about an issue that happened over 6 to 12 months ago, please tell us why you were unable to complain at the time.

We will consider your reasons and let you know if we can proceed with the complaint.
