Grampian Employees Network
The Grampian Employees Network supports Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGB and T) staff working in public sector organisations across Aberdeen, Aberdeenshire and Moray. With seven public sector organisations currently signed up to the Network, there is a potential to reach 25-30,000 staff.
Every organisation has LGB and T staff. Many are not open about their sexuality or gender identity and there are various reasons for this. However, research has shown that this can lead to people feeling isolated in their workplace, thus affecting their self-confidence and restricting their full workplace potential.
The Network aims to provide LGB and T employees with a positive environment that will enhance their workplace experience in Grampian.
The Network is open to all members of staff within the public sector partner agencies, who support the ethos of equality and fairness in the workplace.
