Equality of Opportunity Grants Scheme
If you belong to a community group or other non-profit organisation in the city and have an initiative that promotes equal opportunities you may be eligible for a grant from the Council.
Most of the grants given are £250 - £500, although applications for larger amounts will be considered for longer-term projects.
Grants are available for:
- support to organise or attend conferences on equal opportunities
- the production of materials or training resources that raise awareness of equality issues
- meetings and projects that give a voice to those facing discrimination and inequality
- childcare, interpreting and other access costs to enable people to participate in the above.
*NOTE* This grant scheme is currently on hold pending a Corporate Audit on Council Funding to voluntary organisations.
