Aberdeen City Council Area - Declaration of Local Total

The Counting Officer for Aberdeen City Area has declared the Local Total.

The Scottish Independence Referendum was held on Thursday, 18th September, 2014. Voters were asked to place a cross next to the Yes or No option on the ballot paper in response to the question: "Should Scotland be an independent country?"

Votes cast in the Aberdeen City Council area were counted overnight at the close of poll at RGU Sport, Garthdee. Results from local authority areas across Scotland will be aggregated and the overall outcome declared by the Chief Counting Officer, Mary Pitcaithly, Convener of the Electoral Management Board for Scotland.
