JUNCTION OPTIONS AND COMMON FEATURES
The options selected for further consideration and comparison include three alternative traffic light controlled junction arrangements to replace the existing roundabout.

Features common to all three of the options are as follows:
1. At any of the proposed new traffic signals, two lanes will be provided for through traffic travelling north or south on the A956 Wellington Road.
2. Pedestrian, cycle and public transport facilities will be maintained or improved where possible in the new layout options.
3. Access to the existing filling station at Wellington Circle will be provided by means of a slip road connecting the A956 Wellington Road to the same entry point on the forecourt.
4. Areas of existing road which are no longer required will be removed and converted to landscaping.
