How can we help you...

Syrian New Scots Donation Information

There are many ways that you can contribute to the resettlement of Syrian refugees currently living in Aberdeen, or those that we will be welcoming in the near future.

Resettlement Fund

A simple way that you can contribute to resettling Syrian New Scots in Aberdeen is by donating money.A corporate donation account or 'Resettlement Fund' has been set up with North East Scotland Credit Union (NESCU) and is overseen by representatives of the Church of Scotland and the Aberdeen City Partner Refugee Group.

Individuals or families resettled in Aberdeen under the Syrian Resettlement Programme can apply for donations directly to this fund, or with the help of their Support Officer.

The fund will support applications for the following:

Essential items/equipment      Transport Subsidy      Employability Support

Emergency Costs                 Health Improvement    Cultural & integration projects

Connectivity costs (initial)        Family Learning         Education & training

The Resettlement Fund will not be used to pay regular bills, for non-essential items (unless they meet one of the criteria above), home decoration, personal entertainment or for anything that would duplicate existing or mainstream services.
