Public Consultation
Haudagain Roundabout
Introduction
There are severe congestion delay problems at the A96(T)/A90(T) Haudagain Roundabout, Aberdeen. This affects public transport and commercial traffic as well as impacting on local communities.
Aberdeen City Council on behalf of Nestrans (North East of Scotland Transport Partnership) and Transport Scotland has been looking into ways to ease problems at Haudagain and complement other plans for the area. In the first stage of this process forty options were reviewed. This included large scale options and options proposed by the public. Now, this has been narrowed down to just three options using Scottish Transport Appraisal Guidance (STAG). These three options have been looked at in more detail including affects on the safety, economy, accessibility, environment, integration. They are all effective in reducing overall delay but have different impacts on routes through the junction and on the surrounding area.
