Hazlehead Park

Hazlehead Park is a fabulous park of over 180 hectar Hazelhead es on the outskirts of Aberdeen. It is heavily wooded and is popular with naturalists, picnickers, walkers and sports enthusiasts. Surrounding the park are football pitches, 2 golf courses, a pitch and putt course and woods for walking, running and cycling.

The park itself boasts stunning rose gardens, azalea and rhododendron borders and heather beds. The large children's play area is great for the young ones while the maze is fun for all.

Pets' corner provides the opportunity to come face to face with a variety of animals that children like to see. Pets' corner is accessed from within the park and you can get more information along with the opening times and admission charges here

Cultural and heritage items are scattered throughout the park providing points of interest. A significant collection of sculptures by a range of artists are on show in addition to a number of heritage pieces, which were rescued from various places within the city.

Core Paths (click here) provide an invaluable link from Hazlehead Park to nearby areas of Hazlehead, Countesswells, Cults, Craigiebuckler and Johnston Gardens. These paths in turn link with others to create a wide network, which opens up the whole city.

The Park Café offers a range of food and refreshments in their attractively refurbished home. More information about the café can be accessed here or by calling 01224 313833.
