How can we help you...

Aberdeen City Heritage Trust - Conservation Grants

Aberdeen City Heritage Trust logo Aberdeen City Heritage Trust in partnership with Aberdeen City Council, can help care for the city's historic environment by offering grants for the repair or restoration of both listed buildings and buildings in conservation areas. Additionally grants may be available for carrying out tree management works where they are recognised by designation to contribute to amenity.

There is no automatic entitlement to a grant because a property is a listed building or falls in a conservation area or is a protected tree; even if this means the owner has to carry out work in a particular way to obtain permissions.

Other sources for funding of historic building repair in Aberdeen are Historic Scotland and the Heritage Lottery Fund.
