Best Bar None
Aberdeen's nighttime economy is 'second to none' so its licensed trade deserves to be considered Best Bar None.
The BBN scheme was developed following good practice initiatives throughout Britain to encourage a higher standard of management of licensed premises while encouraging the sharing of good practice. The scheme focuses on public safety and customer care and gives each licensed venue the opportunity to prove that they meet a certain standard of operation. A standard which has been set at a national level through consultation with the government and alcohol industry.
Now in its fifth year in Aberdeen the BBN scheme is open to all Pubs, Bars, Clubs and Specialist Entertainment Venues in Aberdeen City Centre, with awards being allocated at three levels within each category Bronze (Accredited), Silver and Gold.
