Stewart Aitken, Artistic Director of AIYF is delighted that the festival can offer city residents additional benefits to living and working in the City through this scheme which will enable more public to access the wonderful shows AIYF has on offer this year.

He said: "We are delighted to be able to link up with the team at the Accord Card again so that we can build on the success of 2013. This initiative will offer more folk the chance to engage with the festival this year and we are really chuffed that this initiative is supported by one of our current partners First Bus. This is one of many schemes that highlights the growing desire for a more connected and joined up approach to making Aberdeen City a better place to live and work by offering its residents new opportunities to get involved in what is one of the city's most successful and long running cultural events."

Bruce Reid, Accord Card Manager said: "I am delighted that Accord Card holders can receive a discount on ticket prices. This partnership between AIYF, FIRST Bus and the Accord Card underlines our commitment to ensuring that cultural experiences are available and affordable for everyone in the city. The Accord Card offers a wide range of benefits and discounts for Aberdeen residents and I would urge anyone who hasn't already applied for their free Accord Card to do so now."

The festival runs from July 25 until August 2 and will see more than 1000 young people from across the world, locally and the rest of the UK take part in over 80 performances across the city and North-east of Scotland. Highlight events include free city centre shows as part of "Festival in the City" taking place on Saturday, July 26, major orchestral and choral concerts in the Music Hall and International Dance and Variety Galas at His Majesty's Theatre.
