Family Day at The Gordon Highlanders Museum

Arts Development is pleased to be supporting The Gordon Highlanders Museum with this family event, which coincides with the opening of 'An Easy War?', the spring 2010 special exhibition at the Museum on Second World War Gordons' Prisoners of War. Craft activities will look at the amazing inventiveness used by prisoners to create survival aids or escape tools. All the family can participate and enjoy making pieces inspired by their incredible stories!

All Aboard for STOP Animation

Learn the basics of animation and stop motion and your local maritime heritage by taking part in a series of free workshops organized by the Arts Development team. Using different digital media you will create your own film, taking inspiration from Aberdeen Maritime Museum's exhibition: Hall Russell & Company; The Jewel in British Shipbuilding.1864-1992.  The finished films will be premiered in the museum in April.

Creative Kids @ the Lemon Tree

Arts Development are pleased to be supporting the Lemon Tree with family events on Saturdays. Doors open at 12noon for food, drink and music. Sessions include a variety of craft activities and face-painting and run in the Lemon Tree Lounge from 12.30 to 2pm every Saturday. Creative Kids is sponsored by Argus Care - 'caring for Aberdeen's community'.
