Aberdeen Womens Alliance is the consultative forum for women who live or work in the city established to ensure two way dialogue between the Council and the women in the city.
Women individuals and members of womens and community groups are invited to become members. We welcome men who support the principles of the Aberdeen Womens Alliance.
Aberdeen Women's Alliance (AWA) organises different activities each year. On Saturday 8 March 2008, AWA organised the celebration of International Women's Day: Tackling Women's Poverty at the Beach Ballroom. For further information, please download the flyer below .
How Women from Ethnic Minorities Tackle Domestic Violence
Aberdeen Women's Alliance is organising an awareness raising event to mark the International Day of the Elimination of Violence Against Women on Tuesday evening 25 November from 6:30pm-8:30pm at Aberdeen Citadel. You are invited to participate in the free event. On Sunday 8 March 2009, AWA will organise the 2009 event of International Women's Day. Further information will be publicised in due course.
