Timmer Market/Market Stance car park to temporarily close for surveying work

The Timmer Market/Market Stance car park is to be temporarily closed next week while essential inspection works are carried out.

Flats and an integrated drug treatment and rehabilitation service clinic are to be built on the site, which is currently accessible from East North Street and Justice Street.

The site is owned by Grampian Housing Association, which currently leases the car park to Aberdeen City Council. The Council has agreed to allow a contractor working for Grampian Housing Association access to the site to carry out the essential inspection work, including bore testing, which must be carried out before building work can begin.

The car park will be closed from Monday 2 June, until Friday 6 June inclusive, while the work is carried out.
