Subsidence causes lane closures on city street

Lane closures will be in place on a busy city centre street from Monday [29 Sept] to allow investigation work to go ahead.

Aberdeen City Council’s South Area neighbourhood services will close the outside lanes of West North Street in both directions from 9am.

Road crews will then dig up the carriageway to discover the cause of subsidence near the Morrison’s supermarket petrol station and the Willowdale Place junction.

Frontagers have been informed of the reason for the works and will receive information on any further work required once the cause of the subsidence has been pinpointed.
