Painting workshop to dazzle you
02/07/08
Adults are invited to create a striking and dynamic painting inspired by camouflage ships, planes, military vehicles and uniforms at free workshops organised by the City Councils arts development team in partnership with The Gordon Highlanders Museum.
The Razzle Dazzle workshops will take inspiration from disruptive and dazzle camouflage and examine the work of famous British industrial landscape and still life painters Edward Wadsworth and L Campbell Taylor.
The workshops also offer adults the opportunity to work with a local artist and acrylic paints to explore the use of bold colours used in early 20th century avant-garde creations, and create their own painting.
These unique painting workshops form part of the Camouflage 2008 exhibition and events project, which was officially launched in April by The Gordon Highlanders Museum.
Razzle Dazzle painting workshops run from Monday 7 July until Friday 11 July from 10am to noon and 1pm to 3pm.
The free workshops take place at The Gordon Highlanders Museum, St Luke's, Viewfield Road, Aberdeen, AB15 7XH.
