Annual guide shows older people the way to Get Oot and Aboot

This year’s edition of Aberdeen City Council’s popular Get Oot and Aboot directory of activities for older people is now available.

This year’s edition of Aberdeen City Council’s popular Get Oot and Aboot directory of activities for older people is now available.

The free guide covers a range of activities such as dance classes, outdoor events, exercise and drama groups, art classes, creative writing groups, social clubs and computing workshops.

Also included are contact details for activity organisers as well as for useful groups, among them Age Concern Scotland, Citizens Advice, Dial-a-Bus, Grampian Senior Citizen Forum, Shopmobility, and SCARF (Save Cash and Reduce Fuel).

Practical information includes how apply for a TaxiCard, how to access education opportunities, and details of the services available at the Council’s city centre service centre, The Point.

The directory has  been produced with support from the Common Good Fund and this is the fourth annual edition.
