City council supports new deal to save Glencraft
12/11/08
Aberdeen City Council is pleased to confirm its support for proposals for a new social enterprise whereby Glencraft and Cornerstone form a strategic partnership.
The organisations share a vision of developing the current Wellington Road premises of Glencraft, into Scotlands first Social Enterprise Park, which will deliver sustainable employment and training to a vulnerable sector of society.
The project is subject to a full financial appraisal being acceptable to the city council, Glencraft and Cornerstone. The appraisal will be considered by the city councils resources management committee on 25 November.
Glencraft provides employment for people with learning and physical disabilities.
