EXPLORE ABERDEEN

Take a walk on the wild side

17/11/08

Would be explorers are invited to join the Countryside Rangers at Hazlehead Woods on Saturday, 22 November, to discover more about the natural history of the woodland and surrounding area.

The walk, which is open to all ages, will set off at 11am from the car park behind Hazlehead Café, close to the golf club house.

Countryside Ranger, Simon Whitworth said: “Autumn is a great time of year to explore the woodlands of Hazlehead.  With a carpet of leaves to walk on there will be lots to see especially with animals foraging for food before winter.  With a bit of luck we might even see some red squirrels.”

For more information and to book a free place contact the Countryside Rangers on (01224) 897400.   The walk should last approximately two hours.
