Union Street Mile

2013 Race Date

The 3rd annual Union Street Mile race will take place on Saturday 8th June 2013. The race is staged on the City's main thoroughfare, which we hope will attract an elite field of runners.

Race Schedule

10:40 - S1 / S2 One Mile Race
10:50 - P6 / P7 One Mile Race
11:00 - Senior One Mile Race

Places in these races are by invite only through the Aberdeen City Active Schools team.

Race Circuit

All races will start at the Music Hall, the mile races will head towards the Holburn Street Junction, where runners turn and head down Union Street towards the finish line at the Castlegate.

Entry Conditions

Entry to the races is completely FREE of charge.
Entrants for the senior race must be aged 16 years or over on the day of the race.
Senior males must have achieved sub 7 minute over 1500 metres within the last 2 years
Senior females must have achieved sub 8 minute over 1500 metres within the last 2 years
Places are limited in all races.
Places in the race will be allocated based on your previous best 1500m time.
Your participation in the race will be confirmed by e-mail by Tuesday 4th June along with further race day details.
All primary and secondary runners will be required to be collected at the finish line immediately at the end of the race.
