10K Race Information
Start Times
Wheelchair Race: 09:25
On the Completion of the entry form you will be informed of your individual start place and time. No motorised wheelchairs will be allowed entry in the race. Wheelchair helpers/escorts need to apply with the wheelchair entrant but do not need to pay. Please ensure that the forms are sent together when applying. Wheelchair prizes are only available to competitors who complete the race unaided.
Ten Kilometre Race: 09:30
This years race is open to all participants and is aimed at both serious runners and those taking part in the run for the first time. All participants must be aged 16 or over on the day of the race.
Race marshals will steward the course and large signs mark each Kilometre. Sport Aberdeen would like to thank all the volunteers who help with the organisation of the race.
Water Stations
Watering stations will be provided on the Beach Esplanade at 5K, Golf Road at 8.5K and the finish area.
Race Timing
2012 will see the introduction of disposable timing chips which will make things easier for runners at the end of the race. The chip is attached to your shoe in order to ensure a race time.
